Could it be time for Chinese Whispers again?!

It is a good job I am doing this Chinese Whispers CJ as it is the only thing that is keeping scrapping at the minute.  So here are this months layouts.  I love the clock rub on and thought the tide going in and out tied in with the time.

For this one I wouldn't normally use such a busy paper as the background but actually quite like the way it turned out even though it is very simple.

At the end of the month I will have lots to share as it is the next gogo getaway - can't wait!

Another month has gone by...

...so here are this months Chinese Whispers layouts.

The first layout is using the August Scrapagogo kit and the photos were taken by Kirsty Wiseman at the March GogoGetaway.

The second layout was using the July kit.  The photo of my daughter was taken very early one morning as we were following a friend doing a round island swim.

Catching Up

Here is a layout I did last month when I met up with my UKScrappers Team Mates in Milton Keynes for a fab weekend of crafting, shopping and socialising.

Debs and Jane showed us how to make the flowers by roughly cutting circles, spritzing and crumpling, before layering up.  I adapted one using a sizzix die instead of circles.

I have got a little behind posting here although to be honest I haven't been that productive recently anyway.   Here are my 2 layouts for this months Chinese Whispers.

Chinese Whispers 2

This is the other layout for this months Chinese Whispers.  This one used the April gogo kit.  The photo is an old one of my 2 girls taken in 1995 so they are a little bigger now!!

That time of the month again....

...yes it is time for the next Chinese Whispers layout.

Yet more photos from our latest holiday.  The hotel room was fab!  As usual all done using my scrapagogo kit - this one is March's kit.

Saturday's Crop

Last Saturday was our local monthly crop.  I did 3 LO's, one of which will be revealed at the end of the month as it is for the Chinese Whispers group.

The first one was based on the Scrapagogo blueprint to go for March and except for a few letters used the March kit.

For the next layout I used some Jillibean Soup papers from the Dutch Mustard Soup range that I saw at the getaway and couldn't resist!

Getaway - Part 4

The final class layout from the weekend.

Class 7 - "Full of Principles" designed by Sarah Youde and taught by Rebekah Montague

We had a late night challenge using a sketch and kit we were given.  We were also meant to use a photo of ourselves which had been taken during the day.  My photo was so awful that I replaced the photo with another one!

The next layout is one I did in some free time.  Using a mixture of items from the March Scrapagogo Kit and a few items bought in the shop at the weekend.

Gogo Getaway

I have just spent a fab weekend at the Gogo Getaway in Hertfordshire.  This was my 5th time and it just gets better and better.

I came home with 10 completed layouts!

Class 1 - "The Counting House" by Lorraine Ablett

For this one I chose a picture of my younger daughter taken at the Science Museum.

Class 2  - "A Touch of Glass" by Sam Ball

The photos which were taken the week of my older daughters 18th birthday are all enclosed in glass with copper tape around the edge.  This photo really doesn't do it justice.  I really loved this class as it was something new that I would never have done at home.

Rather than uploading 10 LO's at once I will spread them over the week, so more tomorrow.

March monthly crop

Yesterday was our monthly crop and I created 4 LO's.  They are all based on the February Scrapagogo kit including one of the add on kits I couldn't resist!  I added a few flowers, butterflies, letters and tags from my stash and made liberal use of my round the page punches!  The photos were all taken on our recent holiday in Tenerife.

Chinese Whispers 2

Here is the second of my Chinese Whispers Layouts for this month.  This one was created using the February Scrapagogo kit except for the letters.

Chinese Whispers again

Here is the first of my layouts for the next round of Chinese Whispers.

I used the January Scrapagogo kit and the photo was taken last summer when my Sister-in-law and her husband visited us from California.

February Crop

It was our local monthly crop today and I did 3 LO's plus started a fourth.

These are mostly using some older scrapagogo kits with a few extra bits.

Another Day at Durrell

Layout number 5 from the January Scrapagogo kit although I did add some dark green Bazzill from my stash.  (There is one layout I haven't uploaded yet as it is for the Chinese Whispers so I will add that on March 1st)

Durrell is the local 'zoo' and I have lost count how many times we have been and how many photos I have from there!

The leaves are done using a new MS punch I couldn't wait to play with!

3 Broomsticks

I created this LO using the February 'Blueprint to Go' on the Scrapagogo forum but as the February kit hasn't been sent yet I used the January kit so I didn't follow the colours just the sketch.

Photo was taken at Universal Studios last October and the name of the restaurant the girls are stood in front of is 3 Broomsticks...hence the title!

Chinese Whispers Part 2

This is my LO for the second team.  This time using the January kit from Scrapagogo.  I made the strip across the bottom by punching a strip of paper with a scallop border punch and sticking it onto some plain brown ribbon folded over and the green 'ribbon' placed on top.

The LO I used as my original for this one is another gorgeous layout by Sam Ball.   Thanks again Sam.

Really looking forward to doing the next layouts now.

Chinese Whispers CJ

I have joined a Chinese Whispers CJ on the Scrapagogo Forum.  The idea is we all find a LO to 'lift' and create our own LO which we pass on to the next person to 'lift' and so on.  It is a great idea as unlike a normal CJ we get to keep our LO's and no postage costs.

There are 2 teams of 10 people and I am in both with a monthly posting date so this means for the next 10 months I have to create at least 2 LO's a month!

My team 1 LO is Xmas Ball.  Other than the letters everything was from the December Scrapagogo kit.  I want to use gogo kits for all the LO's and as the kit arrives half way through the month I have started off one using the December kit and the other using the January kit so I can do one of the LO's earlier in the month.

The LO I based this on is this lovely one by Sam Ball one of the Gogo DT girls.  Thanks Sam.

I will post my team 2 LO's tomorrow!

Catching Up

Here are the layouts I did a couple of months ago at the November crop but forgot to post on here.  All the photos are from our trip to Florida last October.

Blueprint To Go...again!

My gorgeous January scrapagogo kit arrived this morning and I couldn't wait to play with it.  I am loving the new Blueprint To Go that Scrapagogo have on their club house (which is open to non subscribers!) so I decided to use it again.  I thought a paper layout with the sketch turned through 90 degrees would make it different enough that it wasn't  obvious I had used the same starting point.

Something different

Scrapagogo have started a new monthly sketch and I decided to use that together with the hybrids they produce to see if I could produce a digital layout and this is the result.

As the main purpose of the hybrids is to print and cut out the elements to add to traditional paper supplies there aren't any background papers.  So I created my own papers (the tan background and the green photo mounts) using the colour scheme provided with the sketch.  All the other elements except the brads are from the gogo hybrids created by Kirsty Wiseman over the last 2 or 3 months.  The brads are part of a set by Carina Gardiner.

If you can't guess photos were taken on my daughters 18th birthday!

December Crop continued

Here are the rest of the layouts I did at the December crop.  The double layout is photos taken at Universal Studios of some of the props for the Halloween Horror night.  We went to the horror night
but I didn't get any good photos - too scary to stop and take pictures!

The other layout was a quick one put together at the end of the crop.  The photos are some of the many taken at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Universal.

December Crop

Ok I am a little behind as we have had the local January crop already but here are a couple of layouts I did in December.  The first one is using a picture of my daughters bedroom wall, covered in layouts we did during the summer holidays in 2009 to decorate her room.

The second layout is from our holiday to Florida last October.  We went to see the band The Script at the House of Blues in Downtown Disney.  The last concert we went to in the US they wouldn't allow cameras so I didn't try and take mine this time so of course they were allowed!  I took a couple of pictures on my phone but the conditions weren't great!  The flowers are some handmade ones I found in a shop in Orlando.

As usual the majority of the supplies are from Scrapagogo kits, probably Sept, Oct and Nov last year.
